# n8n

> The Datacircle n8n node gets a LinkedIn profile from its URL, in a workflow or as an AI agent's tool.

The Datacircle n8n node gets a LinkedIn profile from its URL, in a workflow or as an AI agent's tool. Each call costs the same as the REST call ([Pricing](/pricing)) and we take it from the same [balance](/balance).

## Install it

Install @datacircle/n8n-nodes-datacircle from n8n's community nodes, then add your Datacircle key.

1. In n8n, go to **Settings**, **Community Nodes**, **Install**, and type `@datacircle/n8n-nodes-datacircle` ([n8n's guide](https://docs.n8n.io/integrations/community-nodes/installation/gui-install/)). You can install it on a self-hosted n8n. n8n Cloud doesn't list the node until n8n verifies it.
2. Add a **Datacircle** node to a workflow. In its credential, **Datacircle API**, paste your API key ([where to find it](/quickstart#1-sign-up)).

## Operations

| Resource | Operation | What it does | The REST call |
| - | - | - | - |
| LinkedIn Profile | Get | gets a profile from its **Profile URL**, through the **Provider** you pick: Up2Data, HarvestAPI or Fetchin | `POST /v1/profiles/enrich`, `GET /linkedin/profile` or `GET /api/v1/profile` ([LinkedIn Profile API](/linkedin-profile)) |
| Balance | Get | gets your balance, free | `GET /balance/` ([Balance](/balance)) |

Each answer is the provider's own JSON plus `datacircle_meta`, as the API answers it. A `402` means your balance can't cover the call. Up2Data answers `429` past its daily limit: switch the Provider to Fetchin or HarvestAPI.

## As an AI agent's tool

Add the node as a tool of an **AI Agent** node, and let the model define the Profile URL.

## In your CRM

* [ActiveCampaign](/activecampaign): the workflow sends the LinkedIn URL on a person's record and writes back their headline, job title and company.
* [Brevo](/brevo): the same, in Brevo's attributes.
